MAP (reading)

Well, I think it is a good chart to show how my scores have been changing over time. It shows how they have being increasing and decreasing. Though I think the best chart would be a line graph :)

This type of graph I think it's the best one to show how my scores have been changing. It shows perfectly how I've been doing on the tests. It shows the times I have decrease, and the times I have increase :) and the difference between them :)

Oil disaster

Well, what was going on right now is a big mass of oil spreading in the Atlantic Ocean affecting many animals and people. All of this happened because of a rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20th. Many people has tried to stop this horrible situation, but unfotunately, nothing can be done now. Its too late. Thousands of barrels of oil are being droped into the water each day. It's impressing how people do things without thinking on the consequences, including myself. Though, this is a very serious problem because this is affecting our environment and people's economy.

Many species are threatened and affected by this problem. Many fish are dying, and many birds are being stuked in the oil or are full of it. This will cause many intoxication problems and so do mutations. People will lose their jobs, and many companies will lose money. Imagine how many hotels, restaurants, and supermakrkets will be affected because of this problem. If there's no fish in a super market, there will be a lost. If a hotel was famous for having sort of a dish that includes fish, well there wont be more fame. They are so many things and problems just because of a company that didn't think about the consequences if something went wrong acording to it's plan. It's not fair for the poeple that had nothing to do with it. There's a company that's trying to build devices to try to capture the oil, but that's imposible. There's also people trying to clean the birds and trying to help to save the animals that are in extrem danger.

Map Testing

We all know that MAP testing is done twice every single year.This is just a way to see the level of knowledge we are at. We only have three tests. Language, math, and reading. At the beginning of the year, they give you a goal, so what you are trying to do is reach it. The second time you have the Map testing, they make you do another goal. Something higher than the last time. So the point again is trying to over come your goal.
This is a very stressful week for me and all the school. The computer lab is closed for a week, and most of the students can't do homework or at least finish it. Well, rather than that, it is very hard to concentrate when you are doing a test, and that you have sort of a limit of time to answer one question. I don't like them at all! This year on my goals, I think I didn't reach them, but at least over come the last ones. I feel really good with my scores though. Honestly I wasn't inspired just by having a "spirit day". I don't really care about using uniform because on Fridays we have P.E.. Probably my motivation would be having a free day of no school or homework. Maybe a ten in the lowest test in whichever class you want. Those are real motivations for everyone.

PP water pollution presentation!

I didn't have the chance to see someone's presentation today. My partner didn't have his presentation today because of technical difficulties. Well, talking about my presentation. I think I need to add more pictures. I didn't like the way my presentation was done. Unfortunately it was because PP changed and I'm not that used to use it. I would probably do it again or just add more pictures and colors. Make it fun and cool :) I didn't have the chance to see other presentations, just Sebastian's. I did really like his presentation. It was complete, it had all the info needed, pictures, the links from the pictures, and well everything they asked for.

PowerPoint!

There's a person in the class that has ALWAYS done his presentations pretty ling, and short at the same time. Since we're in 5th grade, in Miss Kim's class with the "book talks", he did presentations longer than common. The effects he putted on the pictures repeted over and over again. We used to laugh at the beginning but later on, became boring. He knows what we think about that, but he doesn't seem to care. He keeps on doing them the same way. It's really annoying and it makes you dizzy. It drives me crazy!!
