Mr. Francisco

Today in english class, this guy Francisco came to our class and gave us a little talk about him. He was a soldier that went to Iraq to protect his country U.S. He is originally from Mexico ;) but went to the U.S. Army after graduating.
I think that he did well talking cause he didn't knew us. He did said "umm" and was kind of nervous at first, but then he did it really well. I also like the way he kind of took confidence at last and talk to us in a really relax way, making some jokes and stuff like that. He really kind of wake me up doring the class. He was really nice by answering our questoins in a way we could understand them. If it was something we didn't understood, he would explain it slowly and with more details. I enjoyed his presentation, and I didn't have the chance to ask him questions so I wish he could go again to our class...

Hi, My name is Sofi (: I'm 14 years old, and soon 15. I live in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, and I'm in 8th grade. During the afternoons, from Monday to Thursday, I do homework after eating. When I finish with my hw, I like to turn on my computer and music, and talk with my friends by MSN or Facebook. I'm internet and music addict ;) On Fridays I hang out with my friends, and gossip a lot about guys or what's going on new in the school. I love to be with my friends. Also, I had soccer practice on Tusdays and Thursdays. I love soccer too ;)



My favorite food is Italian, Chinesse ,and Japanesse food, but honestly the one that really drives me crazy is the Italian food ;) Here in Vallarta is not that common to see Italian restaurants, but though my mom do an excellent food ;) There's only two Italian restaurants here and they are really good. There's also few Chinesse and Japanesse food restaurants.



My family is great. I have 6 silbilings. 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My parents are divorced. My dad lives in Guadalajara with 2 step sisters and 1 step brother. I live with my mom and his husband. I live with my brother, who is 18 years old, and with my baby sister and my lil' brother.

Effectss:
I realized that most of the projects used the yelling kind sounds. For example the ones that say PACOOO!!! or ARR ARR ARR ARR. They also used many kind of MAC sounds, and other wierd effects. The efects I used the most were the PACO and ARR ones(: Also most of the sounds I did were with that kind of voice or tone, how you want to call it(: I made up all of my sounds! I didn't use any other kind of sounds cause first, I don't have a MAC. Second, my computer doesn't have those sounds. Third, I didn't like the sounds from Halloween that we had in the computers. Fourth, I think it would be better for me to do them than to copy them from somewhere else.
I love Debora's mash up!! It was incredible!!!!! I love the way she mixed the sounds and the sounds she put in. OMG I love it!!! I also liked Jorge's and Adri's project(: They had many effects and weird sounds that made them special.

My Song
I like so much doing my song. Mixing all those sounds was cool. I think this is a way they can teach us to do better things in a future. For example, if someone from the class room wants to be a DJ, here with audacity they have a chance to create stuff and play with it.



What I found more frustrating or difficult was doing the sounds. I didn't know what other sounds I could do or create, because all the sounds I knew I already used them, so yeah it was kind of frustrating :s What you could do for the 7 graders is making a video of them creadting the sounds. For example those people in Disney Land, they do kind of music with the cans and everything, and I found it kind of cool (: I really love it, so it would be something new to do and also something different :P

I liked my partner's job. Paco used 3 songs, Viva la vida by coldplay, beat it by Michael Jackson, and a record he did. He did and excellent job mixing them. Meanwhile, Raul did a combination of Madonna, Kevin Rudol, Morgan I dont know what(: hahaha. I liked the remix cause it had rythm and I think that the most important thing in a song is the rythm. Feris mix weird sounds with a little bit of beat. Arianne didn't do any job so I don't have opinion about it.

My work was faboulous! I really love it! I enojoy a lot doing it!! Maybe some things I would have change is the music I chose, and add more songs. Though I still like the music I chose(: I don't really have much to say about it(: Only that I enjoy doing it and I had so much fun(: we should do it again :)

Future artifact

The process I went through while making my future artifact were very simple. The first thing I did was open Google and chose the baby, the on and off switch (because I wanted robot baby), and then all the stuff to decorate my project. When I had my baby, I cutted the man that was with him and then deleted. Later on, I add all the decoration stuff and put the baby in the cradle. When I was finished, I put the on and off switch in the baby's back. I colored the background, and flated the picture(: Those were my steps for making my robot baby(: ♥

What I liked the most about my project was the idea of making your own future artifact. Maybe in a future you can actually have it. Imagine you and you husband having two babies, and cant sleep because they cry all the night. This will be the solution for your problems! You just go to your baby and turn down the off switch and then he will go back to sleep and it wont bother you again(: Obviously you can't forget to turn your baby on again. I Like the project a lot! I enjoy it so much!

I liked Fer's idea, because no one else thought about it and it very original. I think no one else would have thought t do this project. Only a person that really wants to remember their dreams and is very intelligent, would hav had the idea. I find no skills that I admire in this project. I think I know what she used and I know how to use them. Though, I love her project! Is a really good idea to do!

I liked Fer's project because it will be very helpful to remember your sweet dreams. I hate when I dreamt about something or someone and after a while, maybe a day or two, I totally forgot what I dreamt, but not with who. I think that its very important for us to know the whole dream, to know, remember who where there, what they were doing, and everything that was going on during that time. Sometimes a dream can be helpful for people who looses their mind, and forget everything, what they dream can help them remember about thair life and to know the people they knew. I dont think this artifact will be created during my life time. Maybe when my grandchildren grow, they will invent it. Of course I would have bought it if it was created during my life time. I love some dreams i hve had, but I don't remeber most of them. Like I said before, this artifact will help many people to remember important dreams and stuff about their lifes and their dreams. Fer is a super intelligent person(: I really want this artifact to exist!
