Interwar essay

The biggest thing that was a problema Turing the internar years was the economy. It was something that everyone wanted to fix, since the world’s economy was (and still is) the most important thing, and people’s main goal was to get out there and lead their country into a better and more stable economy. I am going to talk about the economies of France, Germany and Italy during the Interwar period and what it weas that people did to make it better. In France, the worse thing that had happened was that during the war, Germany had destroyed many buildings, towns and places. This caused the French to be in need of many reparations. Yet France’s economy was not very stable because they had investid lots of it in the war. This is why alter the Treaty of Versaille was important, because it helped to agree that Germany would pay for the famage. So after in 1925 the Treaty of Lacarno was established and France began to recieve more money from Germany, they begun the reparations and the ruler Poincaré helped the economy, which he created. I think that this was very smart because instead of making more war and military problems, the ruler settled everything peacefully and had more happy people and a better economy was reached. In Germany, Hitler was the person who took control, and that was exactly what the country needed. After the horrible loss, the country was in shambles economically and no one had any money, the government was very poor and the people were very mad. After this, Hitler came to power and this I think was bad because Hitler was an anti-Semitist and a racist person who was blaming teh Jews for WWI. This made him start a horrible movement called the holocaust, in which he turned the whole country against the Jews and began isolating them in concentration Camps. This is an inhumane thing to do, and I disagree. I think that Poincaré from France was a better ruler because he did not do things unpeacefully, and at the end Hitler ended up committing suicide. In Italy, there was also a lot of discontent from the people because they had been promised some territories after the war,but the League of Nations didn’t cede the territories because they excused themselves by disclaiming the right to grant those territories. Then, Benitto Moussolini rose to power with the help of propaganda and making the people believe in him and a new and imroved government. In an economical way, Moussolini did awesome things for Italy because he built many cities, and made services such as transport and water for whole cities. He also made new Jobs and the Italian economy became quite stable. I think this is very admirable since after that, the Italian economy was strong enough that they could help the spanish civil war, by sending aeroplanes and such. So this definetely made the country better in some ways. In conclusion, however, I think that the best was the French ruler Poincaré because he was able to improve the French economy without actually supressing the people or causing lots of violence, he simply encouraged everyone and kept them in know of what was happening, which eventually was good news. The last part, in which the economy devalues due to the United States is somehting else entirely, but overall Poincaré was the best ruler.

Prezi or Power Point

I honestly liked Prezi. It is a new form in which teachers, students, and many people can create and entertaining presentation. There are more animations and things to do rather to stick to boring slide shows. Power Point has become something usually used by people to create presentations at school or work, and honestly they've become very cmomon and boring. If teachers knew this new instrument for presentations, everyone will be more entertained and they would actually pay attention.

In my opinion I loved prezi and will actually prefeer to use it instead of PP. Since PP has been the main program for presentations, I don't enjoy at all using it or watching presentations. Instead, with Prezi and all that zooming and turning aroung the words and pictures, I have fun doing like a show or presentation about anything. I think that Prezi is not only for presentations, but also to kill time when you are boring. You can use it to do a bday present for a friend. It would be really cool because it will have like different animations and stuff. The only thing I don't like about that is that you can't change the background like putting it in different colors, just one. Though, it is really cool :)

PSA

Working with Xime was awsome! I loved the video we did. The topic was not smoking, and the video we did was about a mom smoking inside the car with his little son in the back and the windows shut. As a consequence, his son got very sick and the doctors said he had lung cancer. We did this as a message to all the moms that smoke near their sons or family because smoking not only affects the smokers, but also the ones around him/she. Also, we sort of demonstrated one of the consequences that smoking in closed places can have. Even though many people smokes, it is not that good for no one. They really shouldn't do it, and they do know all of the consequences that smoking have and still don't care and continue doing it. That is horrible...

I wouldn't change anything from our video. I like it so much how it is and I think it was amazing! :)

The best PSA I saw was Debo's and Jade's video. It was amazing! They did a great job with making it look real because their topic was also a very common thing that teens do when they party. It was about drinking, and they showed all the stupid things teens do when they are drunk and some of the consequences. It is a reflecting video which makes you somehow realize and analize what we are doing and what might happen the next time we go to a party. It is algo a kind of reflecting video which leaves you as a message "think before acting and doing those silly choices". This was absolutaly a grat project and I wish we could do more videos like this ones... :D

PSA's

A PSA is a type of advertisement mostly shown in TV, Radio, or other media. They are similar to commercials because both are short, but they differ in many other ways. Commercials anounce a product in a funny, serious way; they leave you ceratin message so you would buy that product, and sometimes they are educative. Meanwhile the PSA's are more funny and weird (violent, gross, inapropiated). They are mostly for entertainment and at the end they give you a message like "don't play with the moon", they are talking about something unreal.
I would like to work with Xime or Debo because they have lots of imagination and creativity. Fer C. because she is very intelligent, and I know she will come up with something good. Paola or Priscila because they are crazy and very funny.
Use something of our interest like:
1. Technology
2. For girls, love.
3. For boys, sports or cars.
4. Parties
5. Music
I would make a PSA about a guy watching sports instead of being with his girlfriend or ginorng her or I don't really know. I have no ideas right now.
Maybe for technology it could be a commercial of how many silly things we do without noticing them because we are stick to our cell-phones all day.
I don't have good ideas right now, so I don't know how i could approach them if I were assigned that as an PSA.

Commercials

The three commercials I liked the most were Doritos-2011-House Sitting, Volkswager-2011-Darth Vader, and Coca Cola -2011-siege. It would be really funny to bring back to life everything we once loved just by spreading Doritos in them. In the second commercial, the boy is really cute trying to make everything work with his hands, just like the real Darth Vader. The commercial of Coca-Cola is really positive. I really like those commercials because they are very humorous and that way people can remember the product they are publishing.

I would improve All the videos by putting something that relates to the S.B. Non of the comercials have something to do with it. I would have included a coreback or a runner or a liner, or even the coach! Someone related to the teams or players. If the videos are called "S.B. comercials", well, they should make that statement true. Though, a video I thought was inapropiate was Pepsi Max- First Date. This video is not something a young kid can see because it talks about sex in not a good way. This commercials are the ones that doesn't inspire you to buy the product published.

The video I liked the most from my classmates was Jorge's. His video is very original and goes straight to the main point. The way he filmed the video was really good, the music fits perfectly, and it is really funny. Even though he was serious during the video, at the end he says something that really caught my attention and in certain way it really made me want to buy a coca-cola :) I think he really deserves a 10! He did an excellent job with the video. :)

Comercials

Comercials are very stiky because they talk about the same thing always. Their only pourpouse is to convince people to buy their product. They make this by creating a small stiky song, repeating over and over what they product is capable of, or putting it in offer and giving free things that will come along with the product. Some other comercials try to create an impression on you so you can start making conscience about a problem the world is facing. The comercials I've watch so far are really effective. They really make me think about things that are going on around us and no one seems to notice. For example, the comercials of Dove talk about the girl's self-steem, how girls are not comfortable with the body they have and how they wish they could be blond, or brunette or skiny. They also think they're ugly so they decide to cover their real face with make up and create a fake person using fotoshop.



In my comercial I´ll try to convince people about something. It could be quit somking, use protection while having sex, or love theirselves, their body, what they were given and have.

Self-reflection

To create our comic, we went through many steps before having it perfectly done. First, we chose the most important dialogues and cut the most important lines or phrases. After having the dialogues done, we wrote them in comic life in separate pages, which were different scences. After having all organized in comic life, we took the pictures. The pictures were based on the most important scenes of the entire act. When we finished with the pictures, we uploaded them in the computer and started to organize them depending on what dialogues said. Then we double check every thing, did corrections, and submited. I did like the project, it was something fun to do; however we worked really hard to make it look perfect. The most difficult part was working with my teammates. We had a lot of arguing and disagreements which made the work a little bit hard. However, the comic we did was good, though I don't think it's that good to be available for sign-out. It was totaly something fun and stressful project to do, but I'm really happy with the final draft.

I do agree with the fact that comics are not a way to learn about serious literature. The reason is because comics are mostly "fun", short, and not well explained. many people make the comics as something fun or as a joke towards a novel, movie or play. This makes the literature or whichever thing less important. Also when they make them short, they take away some of the magic and submit many parts. They try to put only the most important parts, though they miss a lot information and sometimes they are not understandable as in a text book. Comics are better to have a good time not to study or learn about something big. However they can make it a little bit entertaining. Even though I'm a little bit lazy, I prefer to learn more complete and good information than incomplete and bad information. Literature can be fun but we have to understand that it's something serious in some way.

One Day With Friends :)

My video was about a day with friends. I tried to show people with pictures how fun a day with your bestfriends and friends is. All the things you can do and create in just a few hours. My song was One Love from Bob Marley. I chose it because friends are like family, and they are part of your heart, of your life. I thought it would be nice to put a song that represents that love between your friends, and well, as the song says, "one love, one heart, let's get together and be all right". That's what true friends do, stay together forever and ever no matter what. Honestly, I'm very happy with the work I did and I wouldn't change any thing from the video. I think that all the pictures and the song fits very well and the video can't be more perfect ;)

Video Reflection

The video we saw in class was awsome! I really liked it. It talks about a day in the world. It has images from all over the world, images that are some impressing, but most of them familiar. Waht the message probably be is that many things can happen every day, 24/7. It is very impressing how in everywhere there are billions of people working, and doing the same thing daily. They go to the same places every day, they do the same thing every day, they do the same routine every day.

The images that most cause impact on me were the little boy with clutches, the thunder, the bomb exploting. They are pretty strong images that I didnt event thought of before. I never imagine seeing a little boy without a leg. That's so sad :s and really made me feel thankful of what I have, and of never complain because of innecesary and stud stuff. There are so many poeple out ther that doesn't even have a quarter of what I do and live happily without complaining.

(My moms car)

In yesterday´s class we learned hoew to calculate how many gas our cars spends only by going to school and back, and how much money our parent's waste. My mom's car uses 329.3L of gas per year only by coming to school. If that number is multiplyed by two (which means going back from school to my house), the answer will be 658.6L of gas. This is a lot. My dad's car in comparation of my mom's, uses more gas becuase of the size and the brand of car. He uses 431.05L of gas per year, and multipyed by two is 862.1L of gas. Obviously my mom's car, which is smaller, uses less gas than my dad's. Though, unfortunately my mom uses her car everyday a lot. She has many things to do and is all around the city, and that causes the use of more gas, spend of money, and more pollution.

Tours

Feris: I really liked Feri's tour. She did really interesting things, for example she went to Boston, and then came back to Vallarta. She could had probably creat her imaginary vacations so she could have add more things.
Pao: Paola's tour was simple as mine. She didn't do anything except for being here in Vallarta and Guadalajara for a couple of days. Paola could have done it larger becasue it was pretty short.
Laura: Laura's tour was amazing! it totaly seems that she had an amazing vacations! she visited a lot of places like Leon, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, and many more. I don't think there's something she could improve. I like it very much :)
Me: I didn't have many places to put. I think I could have done it better by adding more interesting places. Though, my vacations weren't that interesting. I went to the same places everyday and didn't do that much because of summer school.

Well, lately I have been having a lot of fun with my friends. Also, I might be going to Guadalajara next year to live so I have to see what school I am going to go and stuff. I am planning to still go to Guadalajara often because I really like it there. Still, I also like it here because I have been here for a long time now and I have great friends. One thing is that I am going to miss them a lot. Still, this is another step in my life and it is something we all have to deal with. Maybe moving to Guadalajara will be best for me, maybe not. My mom and I have been talking about this changes often and we are both are agreeing with many things. I also enjoy having a time with my mom.

Something I would like to do for myself is to accept the problems I face and get over them. People will always be in front of many problems, and the sad thing is that many people don’t know how to get over them, either. There will always be one time in your life, maybe even more than once, that you will find yourself with no one around to talk with. A time when you need a hug, but the only one there with you will be your shadow. Being happy and positive will make those days look brighter. A friend once told me that the best solution for depression is laughter and happiness. To be happy you have to sacrifice. For example, I want to get good grades this year, but to be able to achieve that I have to sacrifice time and pay more attention in class and more time doing homework.

Something that makes me special is that I am a very good friend and a good person. Whenever a friend needs help I’ll be willing to help them anytime and anywhere. That is a very good part of me because being a good friend and having one is what we all need as humans. Also, I am always smiling because I look at the positive side of everything. Looking at the positive side of things is always important to never give up. Telling yourself that you will give up will MAKE you give up, and that is why you have to say to yourself that you won’t give up and that you will make it to the end. Whenever you fall down, it is important to know that someone will be there to help you get back up. For any friend I have, I will be that person that will help them get back up.

Typing Scores Graphs!

I did improve a lot! These charts show everything! Since the beginning of the year until now. I think that writing faster will help me, depending where I want to work. Though it might help me in college when writting notes and stuff like that. I don't think we need more typing master next year. The majority of the people of school spend most of their time in the computer. This is a good way of practicing(:
